The benefits of high school education in the United States

The United States remains the most popular country for international students to pursue their undergraduate or graduate degrees. Over the years, however, there is a steady growth of international students who choose to begin their overseas education at the high school level. Why? Attending high school in the United States will

  • enable easier access to American colleges and universities to further your education.
  • help you to master the English language at a younger age, which will be vital for your college entrance exams.
  • award you rich relationships with students from many different nationalities.
  • give you life-experience in American culture before entering college.

Choosing Chamberlain-Hunt Academy

Chamberlain-Hunt Academy is one of a very few Christian, military-style boarding schools in the United States. The mission of Chamberlain-Hunt Academy is to help young men achieve success by removing the distractions of the normal teenage experience. Our past and current international students come to Chamberlain-Hunt from as far away as Australia, Brazil, China, and England, South Korea and Taiwan. Twenty-five states as well as other nations are represented in our current enrollment. Why do they choose Chamberlain-Hunt Academy?

  1. Chamberlain-Hunt is first and foremost a Christian school. God has made us for his glory, and, therefore, everything that is taught in the classroom, achieved on the playing field, or modeled in relationships is done to the best of our ability to the honor and glory of God.
  2. Second, Chamberlain-Hunt is a military school, one of the few left in the United States that self-consciously maintains its distinctive Christian character and strict military discipline. However, our being a military school does not mean that all or even most Cadets are interested in pursuing a military career.
  3. Third, Chamberlain-Hunt is a boarding school. Our Cadets get a reprieve from some of the distractions of the usual high school scene and are placed in an environment that supports their academic, physical, and spiritual development.

Summer English Intensive Course

All the classes in Chamberlain-Hunt Academy are taught in English; therefore, command of the English language is vital. However, we are also able to assist in arranging for summer Intensive English Course for Internationals who are in need of it. They will be required to arrive in the summer to attend a 2-months long English class before they are able to begin their fall semester classes. Classes will be held from the beginning of June to the end of July for a total of 20 hours a week.
